  • Knife: This is a very special knife. When James Beauchamp and I learned that one of our collaborative knives was with a United States Air Force Pararescueman who paid the ultimate price in battle, it was a powerful and serious reminder that the toughest job ever faced is that of the serviceman in combat. Thank God for these guys; I'm honored to know them and have them carry our knives. A favorite benefactor of mine offered to contribute toward a knife to honor these personal sacrifices for our country, and I am honored to contribute what I can for this cause.
The PJST is a Pararescue Jumper ShorT, my popular PJ knife style originally created for the United States Air Force Pararescue, with a shortened blade. This is also the same knife profile design as the Seabee tactical combat knife pattern. The blade is tough, stout, and hollow ground to create a thin and sharp single bevel cutting edge, with the tough secondary point at the intersection of the two tanto grinds. The edge has 2 inches of my super sharp Vampire Rip Tooth serrations for ripping through tough materials, and a full length spine swage to reduce the point profile without sacrificing strength. The hollow grind is wide, giving an extremely long blade life even after repeated sharpenings. This knife has 304 austenitic high nickel, high chromium dovetailed bead-blasted bolsters for zero care. The front bolster is domed and angled for easy cleaning, and the rear bolster has a large 5/16" chamfered through-tang lanyard hole for extra security. The knife has a tough and durable canvas reinforced Micarta phenolic handle bedded and secured to the full tapered tang with six through-tang zero-clearance stainless steel pins. The spine has just a touch of filework where the thumb lays on the rise for control. The knife feels comfortable and stout in the hand. The blade is machine engraved to honor those who give all, and it is our deepest hope that this knife can answer the needs of one of our cherished warriors.
  • Sheath: I've made one of my locking, waterproof tactical models for this knife, probably the best tactical combat knife sheath style made anywhere. While most makers use a single thickness kydex (.060"), I use kydex that is (.125"), twice that thick for strength, durability, stability, and longevity. The kydex is hot-formed over a 5052H32 corrosion resistant, high strength aluminum welt frame, secured with nickel plated steel Chicago screws and waterproof cement. The sheath has all stainless steel locking components in 302, 304, and 316 austenitic stainless steel for low-care, high corrosion resistance, and durability while positively locking the knife in the sheath. Even the machine screws and reinforcements are stainless steel. 1.75" wide belt loops are die-formed in high strength aluminum, and are reversible for versatile wear in any position. The belt loops can also be relocated at the sheath tail, for inverted wear in a variety of positions. The sheath features a removable engraved lacquered flashplate for retirement display.
  • A serious custom knife for tactical combat carry and use, a sober and heartfelt honor to contribute.

Thanks, B. M., and thanks Chief MS SZ (Super) for the honor
